Affaldsregisteret is the Danish EPA's national waste registration system. I led UI design, building a new visual language, a complete Figma UI kit, and full prototypes, alongside a senior UX designer handling business logic and regulatory requirements.

Affaldsregisteret is the Danish EPA's national system for registering and tracking waste flows across Denmark, used by municipalities and waste handlers to report on waste types, quantities, and destinations. The existing system lacked a coherent visual design and was difficult to navigate for users working through complex reporting flows. The project brief was a complete visual redesign, building a UI kit in Figma that developers could build from directly.

I was responsible for all UI design on the project: visual language, component design, page layouts, flows, and interactive prototypes.
I worked closely with a senior UX designer who owned the business logic, user research, and regulatory requirements. That division of responsibility meant I could focus entirely on making the interface clean, accessible, and consistent, while the UX designer ensured the flows aligned correctly with the underlying rules and user needs.
